They could not deny the miracles of God that stood before them. This was the reaction of those that pulled John and Peter in to question and threaten them to not speak in 'Jesus' name any longer (as recorded in Acts 4:13-22, in the Bible). If it were mere preaching and teaching it would have been a totally different situation. But there had been such a change in a person's life that there was no denying God's workings among them.
Oh, how I long to see this again! In studying about revivals that have taken place in history there is this same sense of God's power being revealed in people's lives. There was no denying that God was at work because of the change in people's lives.
I desire an even great change in my own life... to let go of any inhibition and simply love God and love others through the power of Jesus Christ. My prayer is to be filled more and more by God's Spirit... that my desires may be God's desires. May I yield my life to You, oh God, this day.
